Currently living in rural Manitoba, Canada, Shana was born and raised on the East coast. Having to be independent and help contribute to the household needs since the age of 16, she has been conditioned to make the best of the worst situations. Turn lemons into lemonade.
After her father died while she was a teenager, her mother quickly taught her that she must now become a survivor, or succumb to nature and be melancholy. You either get out of bed and push through your day, or you’ll die a slow painful death living in a depressing world. Your other option is to put one foot in front of the other, live one day at a time, and learn how much JOY your sufferings can bring you.
After building a career as a hairdresser for 25 years, her experiences with people grew her love of people and the intricate lives we all lead. You could call her a people watcher, counselor, mentor, or friend, and she will always have a story of someone she once knew who can help you see your life as golden.
Shana was inspired after learning she would be transplanted from the beautiful province of New Brunswick, land of green pastures and quiet waters, to Manitoba. Ending a successful career and trusting that that God would provide her with income. Independent her entire adult life, hesitancies and doubt began to creep into her little voice. As tears welled up in her eyes she convinced herself, “I’m successful at everything I do, I’ll sell lemonade at the end of my driveway if I have to!” That attitude ended all insecurities and has happily explored a new career path writing, and sharing her wealth of life skills.
If you want to know how other people learn to put smiles on their faces after tragic events, or if you are a service provider trying to make his or her way in business, this is the blog for you.
Welcome to JOY OF LEMONS.
